Spare Change

There was a boy sitting all alone. Rain soaked his untamed brown hair and his torn clothing. He was sitting on the curb watching people running to their homes or cars, clenching their umbrellas as tight as they could. When they walked by no one would spare a second glance, let alone any money for the soaked top hat that lay on his lap.
He sat there, crying. I ran by him, just like everyone else.
“They said you changed” he snarled to no one in particular
He spoke in an unnaturally deep tine.
“They said you were kind” he continued, growing steadily louder.
His voice was so loud at this point that the ground shook when he spoke.
           “They lied” He whispered.
The winds of the storm grew stronger and wilder, blowing away his hat. The clouds twisted into a spiral that descended to the ground, destroying all in its path. The homeless boy began to levitate off the ground as if the winds swept him into the air.
“I gave you your chance” he growled, addressing everyone around him.
Lightning started zapping random buildings around the city, causing explosions and setting fires. Suddenly the wind became even faster, I was caught off guard and I fell. He snapped his head in my direction and looked at me.
“A-are you the devil?” I stuttered, fearing that I would lose my life.
“On the contrary” he said as I stared into his deep blue eyes.

Rant-Type-Thing

[Authors Note: I wrote this without the intent to post, therefore I didn't make it as politicly sensitive as I would have liked. I didn't re-read so there may be typos and some parts might not make sence. Some parts may also get of topic and it may not flow well. I didn't write this with the intent to hurt or offend anyone, I am sorry if I do]

For a single species to destroy a world without consideration for each other or other life forms it should imply to the logical person that god doesn't care or that there is no god. The truth of the matter is that it doesn't matter either way. With or without the consent of a omnipotent being we have become god ourselves.
We act as though we love, and are loved by, this "god" yet we do not respect his creations and we do not love all that have been made by him. The bible says to love your neighbor, what if your neighbor is gay. The Koran doesn't say to hurt others, terrorists do. Buddha said he wasn't and didn't want to be viewed as a deity, so why do some people view his as such. Weather we are religious or not we should love each other and the planet.
Atheist, Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Human, Animal, Man, Woman, Friend, Foe, it doesn't matter. Lets all be friends, or at least try.

The walls bear down
Crushing
No lights or sounds
Hushing
Looking amongst all the mourners
I escaped

Prompt #2 Jenny

Prompt: Jenny when shopping and never came back

(I didn't do any revising and spent very little time on this, sorry)

Jenny awoke from her nap on a sunday afternoon to find herself snuggling with her fiance on there couch. Sunlight shone from the nearby windows illuminating the beige room. A thin light brown blanket draped the couple and the fuzzy couch. The sunlight warmed Jenny and her soulmate making it so comfortable that Jenny didn't want to get up.
She grabbed the TV remote from the mahogany coffee table that sat in front of the couch and used it to turn on the TV that sat a few feet away from the table. It turned on with a few second of delay. Without hesitation she flipped to the news. A seemingly nervous reporter was advising people to stay inside for some reason that Jenny didn't care to find out. Snuggling with her fiance, Willy, made her appreciate how much he did for her.
An idea sprung into her head as she gently got of the couch, careful not wake up Willy. She grabbed a pen and paper and wrote a note explaining where she was going and left it on the counter. She slipped out of the door with her wallet, locking it behind her. She pulled her car out of her driveway and took of on her way to the grocery store.
The idea of making Willy dinner filled her mind with thoughts of how happy and surprised he will be when he wakes up to the smell of eggplant parmesan. Her thoughts soon turned from joy to confusion. The usually busy streets were completely deserted. Jenny ignored it and parked in the empty parking lot of the grocery store.
        The store was eerily deserted.
"Hello!" Jenny yelled into the silent store.
"Under here" whispered a creepy voice from the checkout.
Jenny followed the voice looking for who whispered. No one was in sight.
"Who's there" said Jenny softer than before.
"Shut up" whispered the same voice from before, but this time with a sense of panic in his tone.
        "Who are you" whispered Jenny.
"That's not important, why are you out in the open?"
        "What do you mean"
"You need to hide, theres a man on the loose"
        "What kind of man?"
"He takes women and then he-"
The voice was cut off. Jenny grew more and more scared. She sprinted to the exit and tried to pull open the doors. They were locked.
All of a sudden Jenny felt heavy breathing on her neck. Jenny slowly turned around and saw something more dangerous to women then she could have ever imagined.
Looking her in the eye was Chris Brown with the back of his hand raised in the air.
