The School of Deception
The Unknown Chronicles

By:William, Eddie Knight and That other guy

Chapter 1:

I was on my way to school on the first Wednesday of the school year. As I was walking to bus stop I felt so cold. It was a cold, cloudy, windy day here in New York. I lived on the bottom floor of my apartment building, and walk to the bus stop wasn’t to long. I reached the bus stop, and got in the bus.

The bus ride was as boring as normal. As I sat on the cold grey seats and looking out through the foggy window, as usual and saw kids on the street being bullied. As you probably think, I strongly detest the sight of puny kids being bullied on the sidewalk for some stupid reason like refusing to cough up lunch money. I wish I could ditch this bus and show that bully whose boss, but I can’t.

School went by like normal until dismissal. I left the sixth grade wing of my school. I saw an eighth grader picking on sixth grader, and then I snapped. I walked to the eighth grader and stole his lunch money. The eighth grader laughed at me and told me to go away. That’s when I broke his jaw.

I punched him right on his jaw and he squealed like a pig. He got mad and kicked me, but I was too fast. I jumped over his leg and punched him square on the nose. He looked like he had a packet of ketchup smashed by a gigantic sledgehammer on his face after a much-needed nose job.

As he ran away all the others who were crammed around to see the fight scampered away as well. One of the gangly eighth graders looked me in the eye then ran away. Out of his pockets fell a slip of paper. To this day, I don’t know why I picked up that paper, but I did.

On the piece of paper, it said, ”Hello, Jake Peters.” I thought to myself, “How does it know my name?” Before I could examine it closer, I was surrounded at my new “adoring fans”. A few minutes later, I was on the bus and the looming crowd dispersed. I was already sitting on the cool, grey seats all alone ready to read my note. I took the slip of paper and read it. This time, it did no longer said, ”Hello, Jake Peters.” It said to go to a certain address at 8 p.m. The reason I did not tell the certain address is for yours’ and my safety.

It wasn’t difficult to sneak out, due to the fact that my dad is on business in France and my mom is his assistant. The only person who was supposed to watch me was a babysitter who paid me half her salary to lie that she’s there.

As I left for the address, I stuffed my brand new Swiss army knife in my pocket. The walk there was uneventful, until I figured out where the address will take me. The old abandoned warehouse, which was significantly outdated. Its façade reeked of industrial waste while the roof was on the brink of collapsing. I didn’t see why the address would lead me here, to this pile of crap. As I finally approach the warehouse, then I saw the man in the black hood.

Theft & and an update

I was about to post another installment of Old Works when it occurred to me that I haven't addressed the issue of someone stealing my work.

Bottom Line: If you steal my stuff then I will sue the crap out of you

Now for the update part. I have had ideas that I have written outlines for, that I haven't written so I think I might post the outlines. I also will post the outlines for the plots of my better installments of Old Works. If anyone has any questions about my writing or me or anything ask in the comments.
Now if you'll excuse i'm going back to spam posting Old Works, because I can.

Old Works- A school paper

Authors Note: I only find this significant enough to post because its the first time I could see a hint of skill in my writing. (First as in chronologically, not first as in only)
Date written: Some time in elementary school

P.S. The grammar and punctuation are fairly bad, sorry.

MEMOIR

When I woke up on my soft pillow-like bed I yawned completely oblivious to

the world around me. The pillow felt warm so I flipped it to the cool side. It felt

lovely to my warm face. I looked at my clock; 10:30 is what it read. That’s when the

thought struck me, today is Tuesday.

I ran down the stairs to ask my mom why she didn’t wake me up. “Why didn’t

you wake me up” I asked my mom. “ I did and you wouldn’t wake up. I took your

temperature, you have a fever.” I looked at her in disbelief.

I slowly walked up the stairs, I dreaded the days ahead because of the make

up work. I hopped into my fluffy bed and fell asleep. I had a wonderful dream and

woke up several times before I finally fell asleep for good.

Two days later and I’m still horrible sick. The boredom is getting to my head

and I was starving. “Can I have lunch!” I yell to my mom who is down the stairs.

“Sure!” she yells back.

She brings me tomato soup around fifteen minuets later. I ate the soup, and it

was very good. That’s when it happened. I spilled my soup on the floor. Both my

dreams and my soup splattered on my floor. The stain on my floor was blood red. I

stood there staring at my soup, dead. I asked my mom to clean it up as I slowly

walked to bed.

The next day I felt better and was determent to go to school. I got ready and

went down my stairs. I ran to the bus stop just in time. I went to school and finally

felt better.

Old works- Stotic

Authors note: Stotic was my first real writing project. I wrote it with my friend a that we will call William. Will and I wrote this together based off of a dream that I had. In the dream the character Doff was portrayed by me and the character Ax was interchanging between William and the guy with the mustache on Mythbusters. Last edited: Unknown

Chapter one

Intro
Jonendoff

Hi, I am Jonendoff, but you can just call me Doff. I live in a world called Stotic. We have three gods a rock and fire god, Rakal, an ice and water god, Ckrelok, and a wind god, Sofyon. The world is a giant down hill slope. No one has been to the bottom or the top. I live in a place called the green zone. This area is filled with humans. There is a red zone filled with barbaric humans. They are our enemy. The rest of the world is infested with Demons and monsters. We have to survive.

This book is my best friend & I, no one (including him) knows his real name, but everyone calls him Ax. Let me tell you more about us. Ax comes from a family with a strong military background. His father was the best war general our army had. His military strategy surpasses his fathers, and mine own. After years of battle he came back without one scratch, but he lost both his parents. I don't remember my parents at all. I grew up alone in the streets. My life was horrible. I got so bored I listened in on the classes to try and learn something. A warrior apprenticed me sometime later, but after a year he went back into the military and never returned. I haven't heard of him since. This is our adventure.

Chapter 2
The Fall
Doff

Ax and I were killing some time in our usual hangout. We stay in this little cave in the outskirts of the green zone. The place was part of an old mine. The floor and walls were made of rocks and dirt crudely put together. It seemed to go miles into darkness. We have never tried to go that far down into its depths though, because we weren’t sure if there were any creatures down there. It held many valuable minerals, but the shaft was abandoned after people began disappearing in it. It was deemed a safety risk. No monsters come around here, and the humans are too terrified to leave the center of the green zone. We were alone with nothing to do so we talked.

I had an idea. "Hey Doff I know that look in your eye. Whatever you’re planning keep it to yourself before you get us killed." Ax said brutally. "I am not planning anything." I lied. He knew he was right and kept close watch on me. He seemed to be more mature and less fun than me than usual, even though we are the around the same age. He was starting to get annoyed. The longer this went on the more of an attitude adjustment he needed. Every time I decided to do something fun he was there to stop me with some excuse of me getting into trouble. It infuriated me when he was right, which was often.

"What are we going to do then?" I asked, smug. "We can go outside the green zone if you want." he said, more smug than me. "I thought you were the cautious one." I said. " A little exercise wouldn’t hurt, would it?" He said. We agreed to go down south for a little while.

The ground began to shake. We didn’t know what was happening. The walls around us began to crumble before our very eyes. The closest place we had to a home was destroyed. Luckily I made it out with few scratches and bruises but Ax was bleeding badly. His arm was cut, and he was covered in bruises. I was rushing to the nearest hospital, but I stopped dead in my tracks. I knew I couldn’t afford any medical attention for him. I began to cry. Soon I realized what I had to do. I pulled myself together, and I ripped off part of my sleeve and made a makeshift bandage. I tied the cloth around Ax’s arm, and carried him into t he swamp one region’s length down south.

I laid him down near a small stream. He told me not to worry, but this made me worry even more. I was scared, more scared than I had ever been before. He saw me worrying. He stopped talking, afraid that I might go insane out of worry. He didn't seem to be in pain, but I knew otherwise. He looked like an animal dead on a path, except he was fortunate enough to be moving. I saw the look in his eye, it was uncertain. He didn't know if he would live of die, so he pretended his life was going to continue for his sanity’s sake. I wasn't so sure. He looked awful.

We were searching for berries to crush to make an herbal remedy Ax taught me some time ago. Then all of a sudden I find the berries I want, and mix them together and rubbed it on his wounds, as I smelled the putrid air of the swamp, my heart began to race, I realized something important was about to unfold.

I looked into Ax’s eyes and realized he sensed it to. Though his arm was still injured I knew we needed to run. I picked him up and ran as fast as I could. I didn’t know where I didn’t know haw far. I just ran.

Then I heard the scream of a child coming from the distance, and then I suddenly knew it was war. I approached where I thought the sound came from, there I saw the dead body of a baby girl. I attempted to run away, but the war was growing more intense. Soon I was caught in the cross fire of a major battle. I realized the battle was between the Red Zone and the native swamp goblins. Arrows where just barely missing Ax as he hung there limply. I knew at once I had to get him out of here.

Then it started to snow. It even caught the natives off guard. It was the perfect diversion. As we were making our escape we saw a toad-like creature appear out thin air. It solidified into a see-trough, light blue, scaly, toad. Then I recognized it, Ckrelok! He had a menacing presence; everyone around us was frozen out of shock. He looked out of place in the damp swamp. Before we could say anything he began to attack. We knew what he was doing. He was joining in the battle. This was the worst thing that could happen. He was on no one's side. He was there to what seemed like protect us.

I was nearly killed with Ax. I was terrified. I decided it best to fight. Grabbing a discarded goblin shield I lowered Ax into a safe spot. I grabbed a sword and began to fight. Death was everywhere. Every time I injured a man another ten died. Ckrelok turned to me. I picked Ax up, and using his breath Ckrelok froze us in time.

Chapter 3
Sometime in the future

Axe

I woke up on the murky ground of the swamp, hearing crickets chirp softly in the distance. Doff was on his side a few yards from me. My cuts felt better and I wasn’t bleeding, but I kept the bandages on. Doff wasn’t yet awake, but he looked good enough.

Then Doff slowly woke up. " How long have we been sleeping here, and how did we get here in the first place?" I asked. " How should I know?" He said rhetorically. " Well then who does?" I remarked. He was tired of me, and just plain tired

We got up and decided to look around and see where we where at. I felt cold, but I kept that to myself. Doff probably felt the same way anyway. We walked for a long time. I don’t know how long. My natural clock was out of whack. I gave up on figuring out the time. I realized we should be focusing more on when we where than where we were.

We soon came up on a large flat plain of rock that seemed to span on forever. We were deciding whether on not to go on it. " I say we go on it." I said. "Sure we should go and see where it leads." He agreed sarcastically. We took a few steps on it, and we felt the presence of Rakal. We sensed a power probably his own. Then the ground began to shake. We sensed the danger and began to run. It was no use a whole in the ground began to open.

The next thing we knew we were falling and falling. I didn’t know where we were falling to. The tunnel was smooth and made of stone. We kept going down and down. The turns were smooth, and the rock was soft. We seemed to keep on falling for hours. I lost my sense of time after… some time. We were falling on a slant most of the way.

Then we were spit out of a hole in the wall and landed on an extremely rocky cliff side. “How are we here on a mountain cliff!” I screamed. "That’s not possible! Their gods Ax, they do as they please." Doff reminded me. "I knew that." I scoffed.
I was thoroughly ticked off. Who else on the planet had to deal with two gods hurtling them into trouble and annoying adventure in one life time. I had no idea where the green zone was anyway. I was pretty sure it was up considering how far down we had traveled.
We looked off the side of the cliff, and where amazed. "This is incredible!" Doff shouted. " It is isn't it?” I reply back. Over the edge of the cliff we had a view of an amazing rain forest. The air smelled nice up here. Untainted with bloodshed around every corner. The greens where vibrant, the blues deep, the reds warm and distinct. Purples that made me breathless, oranges that resembled candlelight, and yellows vibrating from every corner.
There was a mist that shrouded the land and its hue was pure golden. There were trees interwoven all around. There were pine, oak, spruce, birch, willow trees. They all came together in harmony. Flowers where doted here and there pronouncing the colors of the rainbow.
It looked almost man made. No man can only dream of mimicking this beauty it took nature eons to perfect this untouched, unspoiled landscape. It was vast and spacious with the feeling of home to it.
The wind was picking up. It was unusual for this time of year. It was picking up faster and faster. I hoped it wasn’t, but I knew it was a god. "Doff this is getting bad." I said. "Why would this be bad this is incredible?" He asks nervously. "It's Safyon!" I shout over the wind witch is now blowing extremely fast.
Suddenly a giant fist burst through the wall behind us. It was defiantly Safyon. Only he could do this, the arm and fist where the size of fifty goblins long and four goblins tall.
We were nocked back into the jungle. The cliff was no longer under me. Instead was the vast expance of air between the cliff and the jungle. The scenery was flying past us as we plumited away.... again. The last thing I knew i was flying, and then I blacked out.

PART 2
A Mision

Chapter 4
WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?!?!?!
Doff

I awoke to Ax shaking me sensless. He had an ergant look in his eyes. As if he were scared that I might be dead. Around us was the beautiful jungle we saw on top of that cliff...that we were not standing on any more.
"Whats going on Ax?" I ask. "I remember Safyon breaking the back wall of the mountain. We where thrown off the cliff into the jungle where we blacked out afterward." he replies looking relieved I was still able to speak."I think we should servay the area." I say. "Alright thats probably the best idea." he says.
We look around and find weapons on the ground. A very sharp, strong, ornate looking ax Which Ax takes and straps to his back. One other weapon is there. It's a large and sturdy looking war hamer with an extended handle coming out at at least thre feat. I take that and disconnect the brunt of the handle, which is securly screwed into place, for what seems to be made to carry it easier.
We find ourselves in thick foliage. Flowers and trees and twigs were everywhere. Escape from this odd little jungle seemed impossible. No matter how far we went it all looked the same. It was as if the entire jungle was one large maze in the middle of who knows where. Ax and I got tired and decided to rest for a little while.
"What's that on your neck?" Ax asks all of a sudden. "What are you talking about Ax?" I ask in return. "That weird device thing." he replies. I looked down and saw it on my neck right there as he said it was. ”You have one to." I say as I find it in the exact same spot on his neck.
We examine them for hours. In the end we have no idea what they are. We try to take them off to get a better look at them, but they seem to be part of our skin now. We just can’t get them off. It's not that it's uncomfortable it just seems weird to wake up in the middle of a strange jungle with some device attached to your neck. We find buttons on them and as we speak our voices change. We decide that they must be translators and move on.
As we moved away from where we woke up it becomes more evident that there were cracks in the earth. I felt the dirt. It was soft, wet, but clay like. We found a little incline that took us up about ten feet up at a slow pace. Then we came on the edge of a crater. I recognized what it was because of my training.
"What happened here?" I ask. "It was us falling from that height!" Ax gasps. I think of the shock waves our landing must have caused and agree, but to do this much spread out damage is no un-incredible feat.
The night is upon us so we decide to make camp. Ax decides to go and get some firewood, and I impound a few rocks to make a flat space to set up. The rocks are tricky but my hammer and I handle things well. In the end I’ve make a flat rock base under some trees. I figure we could make a tarp in the trees and build some makeshift hammocks lower down. We could cover most of the base with soft dirt just incase and keep a fire there for warmth but far away enough that we don’t get burned.
Ax returns in a little while with enough fire wood to last a week. "My axe was properly worn in." he said when he saw the look upon my face. "Well We'll have plenty for tonight!" I say happily, impressed with his handy work. we set up the tarp and the soft base before sundown. We decide " Fire first then the sleeping arrangements." The fire is roaring as we watch the sun set in our new hammocks.
When the sun goes down we talk about plans for tomorrow. In the end we decide on nothing. We talk about how beautiful the area is, and how much plant and animal life there is. Eventually we drift off.

Spare Change

There was a boy sitting all alone. Rain soaked his untamed brown hair and his torn clothing. He was sitting on the curb watching people running to their homes or cars, clenching their umbrellas as tight as they could. When they walked by no one would spare a second glance, let alone any money for the soaked top hat that lay on his lap.
He sat there, crying. I ran by him, just like everyone else.
“They said you changed” he snarled to no one in particular
He spoke in an unnaturally deep tine.
“They said you were kind” he continued, growing steadily louder.
His voice was so loud at this point that the ground shook when he spoke.
           “They lied” He whispered.
The winds of the storm grew stronger and wilder, blowing away his hat. The clouds twisted into a spiral that descended to the ground, destroying all in its path. The homeless boy began to levitate off the ground as if the winds swept him into the air.
“I gave you your chance” he growled, addressing everyone around him.
Lightning started zapping random buildings around the city, causing explosions and setting fires. Suddenly the wind became even faster, I was caught off guard and I fell. He snapped his head in my direction and looked at me.
“A-are you the devil?” I stuttered, fearing that I would lose my life.
“On the contrary” he said as I stared into his deep blue eyes.
